Hair vines with metal piece flowers - LHW2020
Level: All levels
Friday 17th April 2020.
From 9.30am to 1.00pm (3.5 hours) at All Saints House, 83 Margaret’s Street, London W1 8JG.
Hair Vines are a very popular hair accessory for brides and bridesmaids. Many headdress makers think a vine can be made by just twisting a wire but there is much more to it than that. It takes skill and experience to make a vine that is neat and elegant with simple hair attachments.
Denise Innes-Spencer of The British School of Millinery uses a unique method to make professional, glamorous bridal hair vines headbands.
In this workshop Denise will show you a neat and simple way to construct the vine. Then she will guide you through the different ways of adding metal features and the most important part of the vine, the finish. Small classes to optimise teaching.
On this course you will learn:
- Make a vine,
- Make neat and safe ends to grip on and how you keep the headdress on the head
- Add decoration on to the vine
- Make the reverse neat and presentable
Students will come away with:
- A decorated hair vine
- The knowledge to make a hair vine
- The notes to follow the steps again
Price includes all materials. Students will need to bring their own tools.
Please note: All bookings on this course are non-refundable.
